宿でZeroのアルミケースを開けると、ケミカルな匂いが充満した。
どうやらレンズの水滴を弾く為に塗る液体のキャップがゆるみ、服が全てを吸い取ったようだ。当然乾くわけがないのだが、シャワーで洗濯が始まった。
その後、明朝の空港迄のドライバーとカレー屋や電池を探しに町へでた。
その夜は疲れ天井のヤモリをながめ寝た。
朝4時に呼んであった白タクに乗り空港に着くと、ニュージーランドとは比べ物にならない優しい税関検査を受け、Suvaへ向かう飛行機へ。
下界は暗かったが雲の上は既に明るくなり始めていた。
ゴムゾーリを宿に忘れた事に気づき、島の村の小さなお店にあればと願う。
わずか30分のフライトで5時間も次を待たなくてはいけない。
